An 18-year-old Hanapepe man has been medevaced to a Honolulu hospital after he was badly hurt Tuesday in a skateboarding accident, Kauai County reported.

The man fell while skateboarding in Numila on Halewili Road about one mile south of the Kaumuali'i Highway intersection.

Police dispatch was notified about the incident about 12:33 pm.

The skateboarder was taken to Wilcox Hospital for treatment, and was later medivaced to the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu.
