CINCINNATI — Cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones knows it will take time to convince people that a year out of football made him do a lot of soul-searching and change his lifestyle.
Jones signed a two-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, giving him a chance to revive his troubled career. Jones has been arrested six times and repeatedly suspended during a career that hit bottom last year, when he was out of the NFL.
Jones took questions for the first time on Wednesday following a practice and said he no longer hangs around with the same crowd that helped him get into trouble. He said he can't do the same things he did a few years ago "or I'd be dead or in jail."
