Rainbow Wahine basketball team lands star player from Oakland

Kamilah Jackson, a 6-foot forward from Oakland, Calif., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the University of HawaiOI women's basketball team, the school has announced.
Jackson is the third recruit of the 2010-11 recruiting class signed by head coach Dana Takahara-Dias.
Jackson averaged 25 points and 17 rebounds, and was named to the California Division III all-state team. She helped her team win two Division III state championships her sophomore and junior seasons and was nominated to the McDonald's All-American Team her senior season.
As a junior Jackson averaged 16 points and 13 rebounds. She averaged a for three seasons.
Over her career, she was named a three-time all-state player, three-time all Northern California and three-time league champion. In 2008, her team finished ranked No. 1 in the USA Today final rankings. Jackson's team also went 33-0 and had a 60-game winning streak during her career.
