A quintet of Honolulu Symphony musicians will kick off "A Taste of Music" with Mozart's Clarinet Quintet and music by Brahms.

Refreshments and a chat about the music and the plans for the 110-year-old symphony's future will follow the performance, which starts at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Studio 909, 949 Kapiolani Blvd. Featured Honolulu Symphony musicians: Norman F. Foster, clarinet; Darel Stark and Maile Reeves, violin; Ethan Pernela, viola; and Joanna Morrison, cello.

Symphony officials canceled this year's season in October when money troubles led the organization to file for bankruptcy. Since then, the musicians have been filling the void with performances.

The event is free; donations will be accepted. For reservations, e-mail HonSymMus@aol.com. Visit www.livemusicawareness.org for more information about the symphony and online donations.
