Turtle Bay's next Get Golf Ready programs start June 6, and run for five Sundays (at 1 p.m.), and June 15, running for five Tuesdays (4 p.m.). Cost for the five introductory lessons is $99.
Following the five-session program there will be Get Golf Ready graduate outings.
Turtle Bay will also host the inaugural Turtle Bay Golf Fest June 26. The Fest will include a demo day, free short-game lessons, a sidewalk sale and golf tournament. Food will be available with proceeds going to the Kahuku High golf team.
The tournament will be on the Fazio Course, costs $55 and is open to all amateurs. It will also serve as a qualifier for the national S.E.T. Scramble. The winning team advances to quarterfinals in Las Vegas in September.

Turtle Bay is also selling its rental clubs. Men's sets include Titleist AP1 irons (5 to gap wedge), 909 driver, fairway and utility woods, Vokey wedges, Scotty Cameron putters and an Orio golf bag. PRINCE OF A DEAL
Hawai'i Prince Golf Club has two current kama'aina specials.
The 20th Anniversary Golf Special, good through Monday, allows a companion to play for $20 when the first golfer pays the standard kama'aina rate ($52 weekdays, $65 weekends). The special does not apply to other discounted rates. Golfers must mention "Kama'aina 20th Anniversary Golf Special" when making tee times.
Through Aug. 31, Hawai'i Prince has "Unlimited Golf with Lunch" for $55. It is offered weekdays only, excluding holidays. Golfers get lunch that day at Bird of Paradise restaurant. Reservations are taken for the first round, with additional rounds on a space-available basis.
All golfers must present valid Hawai'i driver's license or Hawai'i state ID with valid Hawai'i address for the specials. For more information or to book times, call 944-4567.
TUESDAY IS KING
Waikoloa Kings' Course is featuring a golf clinic and nine-hole scramble for four consecutive Tuesdays starting June 8, at 3:30 p.m. It starts with a 30-minute lesson, followed by the scramble tournament. Players can sign up as a four-person team or be paired by the staff.
Entry fee is $65, which includes an awards reception at Kings' Grille.

CLINIC AT KO OLINA
Ko Olina will have a Women's Golf Clinic and Wine Tasting June 16, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $50 for both, or $35 for the wine tasting only.
Ko Olina pros will conduct an hour-long clinic on chipping, putting and hitting irons and woods. The wine tasting is at Roy's Ko Olina.
Space is limited to the first 35 to sign up. Those interested can register at PlayGolfAmerica.com by selecting "American Express Women's Golf Month" and Ko Olina. Payment must be made at the Golf Shop by June 14.

Ko Olina Golf Academy's Junior Golf Play & Learn program starts June 14. It runs weekdays through Aug. 20 and meets from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $35 a day or $125 a week. Juniors age 7 to 17 are eligible.
Call 676-5300 to reserve a spot and for more information. The maximum student-to-teacher ratio is 6-to-1.
Ko Olina is also gearing up for its third session of Get Golf Ready. Students get six hours of instruction from Ko Olina pros for $99. Foursomes can schedule their own group.
Session 3 dates are Tuesdays (June 29, July 6, 13, 20 and 27), Wednesdays (June 30, July 7, 21 and 28) or Saturdays (July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31). There are two sessions on Saturdays.

Free rental clubs and range balls are available for the lessons. There is a maximum of six students to each teacher.

Lisa Donlon, Mark Sperling and Gary North won their divisions at Hawai'i's 2010 BMW Ultimate Golf Challenge recently at the Royal Ka'anapali Course. Each receive a trip to the BMW National Cup in Pinehurst, N.C. in October, from BMW Hawai'i. The event benefited StarWish, a charity fundraising effort of Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.
