After leading Mid-Pacific to its first Interscholastic League of Honolulu softball championship, Keiki Carlos was named ILH Player of the Year after a recent vote by league coaches.

Carlos, a poised sophomore right-hander, pitched one no-hitter, a pair of two-hitters, one three-hitter and a four-hitter.

She also was a major contributor at the plate, going 3 for 4 with two home runs in a crucial first-round victory over Punahou, 3 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs in a win over Sacred Hearts, 2 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored while pitching a no-hitter with seven strikeouts against Kamehameha, and hitting a double with two RBIs while pitching a four-hitter vs. Pac-Five.

MPI led the way with five ILH All-Star first-team selections: Carlos, first baseman Courtney Niino, second baseman Corrie Murashige, outfielder Kacy Aoki and designated player Tori Hamura.

'Iolani was next with four: shortstop Kim Souza, outfielder Alex Masaquel, catcher Kryn Masutani and utility player Kaitlyn Shikada.

Punahou landed third baseman Mysha Sataraka and pitcher Jasmine Ioane.

Pac-Five outfielder Samantha Ford and Kamehameha pitcher Jamie Millwood round out the first team.

Mid-Pacific's Willie Quinn was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Owls to a 13-2 record.
