Taking Kalani softball to new heights, catcher Kristi Belshe and coach Melissa Marquez took top postseason honors in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's White Conference.
Belshe, a junior, was an offensive force in helping the Falcons finish 13-1 and capture the OIA White championship — their first league softball title.
She batted .500, with five doubles, two triples, four home runs, 26 RBIs and a .606 on-base percentage.
Belshe had one of her best performances in the championship game against Waialua, going 3 for 4 with an RBI double and a two-run homer to help Kalani rally for a wild 12-10 victory.
The Falcons led the way with five players selected to the OIA White Conference All-Star first team: Belshe, second baseman Chelsea Yamamoto, third baseman Kelli Muramoto, shortstop Kristiann Endow and pitcher Rayme Awaya.
Radford placed outfielders Tuiai Elisara and Amanda Nicholas.
'Aiea first baseman Temukisa Lautolo, Ānuenue outfielder Kahanu Walker and Nānākuli utility player Kyrtsie Ako-Pali round out the first team.
Marquez was named Coach of the Year.
