Hiker with injured ankle air-lifted from trail
Fire Department personnel rescued a female hiker who injured her ankle on the Wai'alae Iki Trail yesterday afternoon.
Air rescue specialists were sent to help the woman, who was two hours up on the trail, HFD Capt. Earle K. Kealoha Jr. said. The call came in at 4:20 p.m., and the woman was airlifted to safety.
